We usually begin a new year at home in Suffolk, VA, preparing for the convention season. Since we had only one partial convention in 2020 before the shut-down orders came, we had packed up our bookcases and stored them in our trailer. Oh-0h. BAD IDEA in the Virginia humidity! Gary put all the cases in our garage and dining room last month and we had to wipe down every book in every shelf! Yikes! That is how we prepare for convention seasons!
This past year, instead of selling wonderful books, Gary has been Mr. Fix-It for friends all over the place, In January and February Gary will be in Iowa and Colorado, doing projects.
We HOPE to start our 22nd convention season in mid-March. We are doing fewer conventions. First of all, we just don't know what to expect for conventions. Masking? Attendance limitations? Fear? We are praying for GOOD times of encouragement and laughter. And good sales!
Also, many of you know that we moved to VA four years ago to help our Navy-veteran son, JJ, navigate through life after a traumatic brain injury. Jan has been homeschooling our grandson, who was a first grader this year. We need to be here and thus we have chosen to leave home much less often than we used to.
At many of the conferences we are NOT doing this year we have dear friends and customers. We will MISS YOU all.
